ALICE MATHESON We are saddened to announce that our Mom, Alice, passed away on Sunday, September 21, 2008 at 96 years of age. Her loving family comforted her as she went to reunite with her husband Frank who predeceased her in 1978. Left to cherish her memory are her daughters Patsy Welsh, Thelma (Stan) Kensick, and sons Lionel a.k.a Al (Yvette), Leroy (Peggy). She will be sadly missed by her 15 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves many nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by Patsy's husband Bob, her parents Barbara and Isaac Cadger and five sisters, Barrie, Lizzie, Peggy, Gertie, Molly and brother, Bob. Mom and Dad enjoyed gardening and had a wonderful show of flowers at their Assiniboine Avenue home. Mom looked forward to all family get-togethers and didn't hesitate to get down on the floor with the grandkids who she adored. We thank the caring angels at Oakview and appreciate the compassion given to Mom and our family. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, September 26, 2008 at Neil Bardal Inc., 984 Portage Avenue (entrance on Aubrey Street).
